Composition of aramis
What makes Aramis particularly unique is that it is a chypre for humans. While it was once relatively common, it is now quite rare. The chypre is often distinguished by the head of the bergamot, and the heart is made of oak moss and labdan.
In the case of Aramis, the structure of the tip is slightly modified and is accompanied by a leather cord. It is produced with smoked and burnt trees and musky notes.
Notes to heading
- Black pepper
The head of the bergamot of Aramis immediately contrasts with the bitter tones of absinthe, an irresistible discovery. It is followed by a fragrant thyme with a spicy taste of black pepper.
The head then fades away and reveals a dark and earthy patchouli, sweetened with jasmine essence. The aromatic notes of cloves and sage add an element of complexity.
Because patchouli only fades with a certain delay, fresh oak moss and strong tones of labdan and sandalwood appear. These notes work together to create a vibrant amber harmony. Meanwhile, the long gaïac wood finish develops the open notes of the leather.
Finally, the permission received, developed by the Foundation, resembles an old aristocratic salon. Worn leather Chesterfields wrapped around a Persian rug. Meanwhile, the antique polished wooden furniture houses many curiosities and books. In front of the roaring fireplace is a cupboard full of fine spirits such as cognac or whiskey.
Human life cycle
It goes without saying that Aramis uses a common dry method in which the head, heart and base evaporate in an orderly manner. Yet the fragrance is far from linear, and a number of complex arrangements interact to create its uniqueness.
The head itself, however, is very volatile and only fulfils its function of introducing odours. The heart that follows him is a little late, before the foundation of the sect takes its place.
Awakening and power of Aramis
In general, Aramis is by definition a very strong expression. The threshold and the projection are both too strong to hold for long. It is a perfume that will accompany you during the day and maybe even the next night.
Although it works well, the owner must be extremely careful not to make exaggerated demands. Excessive use is too easy with Aramis, and the result is a very bitter and fragmentary wave of Artemia and Labdanum.
When should Aramis be worn?
Aramis is a delicate perfume. As the reactions have shown, his perception is relatively polarised. In general, it seems that the perfume is appreciated by more men than women. But some women really appreciate his muscular masculinity. However, to date and at this age, the number seems to be decreasing.
At the same time, it seems to be more successful with older men who want to wear it. So it is a very mature scent that is best worn by males who are in their neighbourhood or in their 40s.
As far as the seasonality is concerned, this is certainly the fragrance best suited for the cold months. Because it has such a rich bouquet of wood, it will probably not be very attractive in summer. This scent with leather and amber chords is probably best suited for the winter.
It’s also a special nocturnal scent. It is not a perfume that fits particularly well in daylight. It’s also a more romantic perfume.
But you have to be very careful, because it’s very powerful. You will want to handle it sparingly, and even then it may not be approved by your appointment. It’s just a ridiculous men’s scent. To quote Anchorman, he works 60% of the time every time.
Presentation and monetary costs
As a greeting to his family tree Aramis comes in the same bottle he gave birth in. An ordinary bottle, with aramis, laconic but elegant, in a serrated font similar to the inscription on the plaque. Through the transparent glass you can admire the light amber-coloured liquid and the atomizer is covered with a gold-coloured plastic cap.
The sprinkler also works very well. That’s pretty good, because given the strength of the smell you need something that gives you full control over what you’re applying. The spray mist is highly defined and misty, allowing for even distribution.
However, the packaging is not particularly attractive. In fact, it resembles the box used for Tabac Pour Homme, another fragrance from the same period. Looks like there was some reddish cardboard back then. Today, however, it seems rather outdated.
After all, the price-quality ratio of Aramis is nothing less than excellence. With an RRP of $32 per 100 ml (3.4 Oz) you get a good value for the strength of your dollar.
Amazon offers 110 ml bottles for $35. In the meantime, FragranceX can even be 29 dollars cheaper. As such, Aramis is one of the best perfumes up to $30.
In general, Aramis is a heavy and greasy feast, made of leather and amber. Aromatic, citrus and floral notes play a role in the combination, but the real theme is the woody, resinous base.
If you like old school perfumes and heavy musk, Aramis de eau de cologne is for you. Don’t forget to wear the gold medal and show off your chest hair!

The men’s classics are open. With its bittersweet head, fragrant heart and leathery amber base, it is a truly powerful costume. Wear it with care, but enjoy the warm, powdery notes.
